NEDERLANDS The Brunette in drie woorden? Babbelkous, woordbarista en curieuzeneus. Al van kindsbeen af zit ik vol van woorden. Ze vallen uit mijn mouw, glippen uit mijn 'sjakosj' en liggen op het puntje van mijn tong. Het was het voorspel van de schoonste stiel ter wereld: de schrijverij. Intussen staat er al meer dan vijftien jaar ervaring als schrijver en storyteller op mijn teller. Alles begint met woorden. Woorden die ik schrap en plak, sorteer, oppoets en vingervlug aan elkaar brei tot uw verhaal. Redactionele artikels, behapbare webteksten, vertalingen en herschrijfsels, slogans met plakfactor of social stories: ik geef u mijn woord. Simpel als het kan. Beeldend als het moet. En het liefst van al met een ezelsoor. Als woordbarista ga ik voor straffe verhalen die u wakker schudden als ochtendkoffie. Waar mijn ♡ sneller van gaat slaan? Food & health, fashion & lifestyle, reizen en sport. Schrijven doe ik meestal vanuit mijn eigenste ‘letterloft’ in Mechelen. Een plek vol liefde voor de gedrukte letter; voor inkt op papier. Een plek voor het juiste woord, zij het groot of klein. En omdat The Coffee Shop Effect geen koffiekletserij is, kunt ge me vaak vinden in Coffice, Beans of een andere straffe koffiebar in de stad. ENGLISH The Brunette in three words? Blabbermouth, word barista and curious creator. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been full of words. They’re falling out of my sleeve, peeping out of my purse, and sitting at the tip of my tongue. It was the foreplay of the most beautiful job in the world: writing. Today, I have more than fifteen years of experience as a writer and storyteller. Everything starts with words. Words I cut and paste, sort, brush up and knit together into your story. Editorials, captivating web copy, rewritings and translations, slogans that stick or savvy social stories: I give you my word. Simple if possible. Imaginative when needed. And preferably with a dog ear. As a word barista, I brew stories that wake you up like morning coffee. What makes my ♡ skip a beat? Food & health, fashion & lifestyle, travel, and sports. Mostly I write from my very own ‘letter loft’ in Mechelen. A place filled with love for the printed word; for ink on paper. A place for the right word, whether it be big or small. And since ‘The Coffee Shop Effect’ is no BS, you can often find me at Coffice, Beans or some other caffeine-infused bar in the city.
