Lucid Rhino is a web and creative agency in Northampton. Our mission is to help people communicate clearly and to help businesses grow online. We design and build websites, online e-commerce shops, manage hosting and web domains and help clients develop brilliant branding strategies. We’ve built things for charities, shops, churches and individuals. We’ve led projects communicating through print, social media, events, music, video, email and (our speciality) websites. Alongside our core work we provide blazing fast web hosting, 2D and stop-motion animation, website SEO, security and speed optimisation and we build online e-commerce stores.

I design websites to look great on all devices
Around 50% of web traffic nowadays is carried out using mobile devices, so it’s really essential for modern websites to be built with all device sizes in mind.
Gone are the days of separate, clunky mobile websites that double the effort needed to update content. All my websites are built to be fully responsive from the ground up, which means they respond and resize to suit whatever device they’re being viewed on.

I build websites with WordPress
It’s a powerful platform. It’s versatile, stable, fast and incredibly well supported by a growing open source community, which means it’s unlikely to go out of date any time soon.
The former head of Google’s webspam team, Matt Cutts, said “sites built with WordPress are capable of ranking higher in search results because the CMS takes care of 80-90% of Google’s crawling issues.” This means WordPress is SEO friendly.
The flexibility of WordPress makes it a very popular option. Unlike DIY website builders you will own all your data and you have many options for web hosting and future development, no strings attached.

When I build a website I know how it runs, so I’m the best person to keep it running smoothly. So after building your website I can offer extra website services like super fast and secure WordPress optimised web hosting.
You’ll get your own dashboard for full admin control. This naturally includes access to free SSL security certificates, email hosting and domain management.

What could your branding strategy include?

1. Proposals for a business name and slogan
2. Logo designs, which when finalised will be developed into a logo package with assets for various formats (e.g wide format, social media accounts, small print etc)
3. Messaging guidelines for online and offline media
4. A style guide detailing graphical styles to use in various formats: typefaces, typography, colours, spacing, images, logos and other symbolism
5. Business stationery such as letterheads, business cards, compliment slips, letters etc

Competent, creative and cutting edge all apply to Lucid Rhino’s fluency on all aspects of the web. They have kept our websites consistently high in organic search results, up to date in function, and crisp in design.
