DHD is a branding and digital agency based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

We’re a team of strategists, designers, developers and videographers with a shared passion for storytelling. We help our clients push forward and uncover their narrative, before strategically and creatively articulating it across their branding, website and social platforms. From our Belfast base, we work with local and national brands across the retail, food, hospitality, tourism, energy, and non-profit sectors to name a few.

Strategy This is where things become clear. Brand strategy lays the foundation for everything we create – shaping how your brand looks, sounds, and connects with people. Using insights from our research, we define your positioning, personality, values, and purpose. It’s about uncovering what makes you different and how to communicate it effectively. A clear strategy brings substance to visual communications, aligns your team, guides decision making and connects with audiences. It ensures your brand doesn’t just look good — it resonates and delivers results. Concepts We can’t deny it, this is the part everyone is the most excited for. We start on paper, before moving to digital renders - creating 3 unique concepts that encapsulate the research and strategy work completed prior, and show how the visual identities could be realised in a variety of mock-ups. We present these concepts to you in-person or virtually. Quite often there’s no need to revise any concepts further, but that’s also an option. Design Language Based on a chosen concept that everyone loves, we’ll build out the design language of the brand - figuring out how to make a workhorse that delivers day in and day out. We’ll provide guidance on accessible colour palettes, stylistic elements, type scales, photo and video treatment, and visual composition - to mention a few! Brand Guidelines So here’s the thing… with all that strategy work and design work completed, it’s time to roll it out. Scary, we know! But to help make things as easy as possible, we meticulously document how to effectively use the new design language - showing you examples along the way. Psst!
