BinarySync è un’azienda di sviluppo web con sede a Beirut, in Libano, che lavora con clienti in tutto il mondo. Realizziamo il software su cui si basa un’azienda e gestiamo l’infrastruttura sottostante. Questa combinazione è intenzionale: è nel passaggio tra le persone che scrivono il codice e quelle che lo gestiscono che la maggior parte dei progetti perde tempo senza che nessuno se ne accorga e dove la responsabilità tende a scomparire. Il nostro lavoro comprende sei aree. Lo sviluppo web e applicativo ne costituisce il fulcro: applicazioni web personalizzate, piattaforme SaaS, app mobili e API realizzate sulla base di specifiche, anziché assemblate a partire da un modello. Cloud e DevOps comprendono le pipeline, l’orchestrazione dei container e gli ambienti in cui queste applicazioni vengono distribuite. Reti e infrastruttura, insieme ai servizi IT gestiti, coprono il livello sottostante: reti, server e operazioni quotidiane che li mantengono efficienti. La cybersicurezza attraversa ogni aspetto del lavoro, invece di essere affrontata soltanto alla fine. L’integrazione aziendale e l’automazione collegano i sistemi da cui un’azienda già dipende, affinché il nuovo software entri a far parte dell’attività invece di restare semplicemente accanto ad essa. Prima dell’inizio di un progetto mettiamo per iscritto tre impegni, scelti perché un cliente possa verificarli concretamente: Un Largest Contentful Paint inferiore a 2,5 secondi su uno smartphone Android di fascia media tramite una connessione 4G. Non un risultato di laboratorio ottenuto su un desktop veloce, ma una misurazione sul dispositivo e sulla rete che la maggior parte dei visitatori utilizza davvero. Accessibilità WCAG 2.2 AA, testata manualmente e non soltanto tramite uno scanner automatico. Gli scanner individuano circa un terzo delle reali barriere all’accessibilità. Per il resto servono una tastiera, uno screen reader e qualcuno che presti attenzione. Il vostro codice sorgente nel vostro repository fin dal primo commit. Alla fine dell’incarico non c’è alcun passaggio di consegne da negoziare e non dipendete da noi per conservare ciò per cui avete pagato. Lavoriamo da remoto e end-to-end, in inglese, francese e arabo, con clienti in Libano, nel più ampio Medio Oriente, in Nord Africa, Europa e Nord America — in pratica, in tutto il mondo.

Custom web applications, SaaS platforms and the APIs that hold them together, built for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets or an off-the-shelf tool. Recent work includes a garage management system running twelve modules over an Express API, bilingual English and Arabic with genuine right-to-left layout, where services declare the materials they consume so a counter sale decrements stock automatically. Access control is enforced at the API rather than in the interface: hiding a menu item is a design choice, refusing the request is a security control, and only the second survives somebody opening the network tab.

The pipelines, container orchestration and environments applications actually get deployed into. Docker and Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI for delivery, Prometheus and Grafana for the part everybody skips until an incident. We do this for software we built and for software we did not. The reason we run both sides is that the handoff between the people who write code and the people who operate it is where projects quietly lose time, and where accountability tends to disappear.

Next.js, React, TypeScript and Node on the front, PostgreSQL or MongoDB behind it, deployed to Cloudflare or the cloud provider you already use. Three things go in writing before we start, because a client can check them: Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds on a mid-range Android over 4G, WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility tested by hand rather than by scanner alone, and your source code in your own repository from the first commit. We deliver in English, French and Arabic, including genuine right-to-left layouts rather than a translated interface forced into a left-to-right design, and we can localise a site into any language a client needs.

Security is part of how the system is built rather than an audit bolted on at the end. Hardened deployments, least-privilege access enforced at the API rather than hidden in the interface, secrets kept out of source control, TLS and security headers configured properly, and dependency and patch management for the infrastructure underneath. We also do the unglamorous half: reviewing who actually has access to what, and removing the accounts nobody remembers creating.
